Our Philosophy
At Hunter & Millard Architects, Inc., we believe in a client-driven approach that synthesizes creative-thinking with rational, real-world solutions. Our design philosophy is driven by sensitivity to the needs of each individual project, rather than adhering to a particular style. This approach has allowed us to successfully complete a wide range of projects, from large-scale industrial buildings to single-family residential projects.
Our Process
We have extensive experience with projects of various sizes and construction types. Our process begins with effective communication throughout the design and construction process. We stay in close contact with our clients to maintain an understanding of how things are proceeding during the design process. Our availability to quickly answer questions throughout the project is something we pride ourselves on, ensuring that our clients are always informed and satisfied with the progress.
Cultural Projects
The firm has a long history of designing spaces for worship, the arts, and community gathering. From churches to contemporary gathering spaces, we have maintained a tradition of creating functional and aesthetically pleasing facilities. One notable example is Hope City Church, which now has a permanent home off I-49 on Jaguar Road in Joplin, MO. This project utilized a pre-engineered steel structure, corrugated metal siding, and weathering steel to create a multi-functional facility.
