Mountain Shadows Homecare

Mountain Shadows Home Care Services is part of a second-generation family owned and operated business, first established by Wes and Nadine Handy. A World War II veteran and former professor at New Mexico State University, Wes Handy later became a consultant and entrepreneur. Together with his wife Nadine, a childhood development professional, they opened their first care facility in 1986. Today, the company known as WNG, Inc., operates six pre-school and child development centers, three assisted living centers, and Mountain Shadows Home Care Services. All together, the company employs over 500 people in Southern New Mexico.

With services available in Anthony, Alamogordo, Deming, Sunland Park, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, Mountain Shadows Home Care Services is dedicated to your total satisfaction.

Services

When the people you love have medical issues that don't require hospitalization or nursing home care, Mountain Shadows Home Care can provide the care they need in the comfort of their own home! Our goal is to match the caregiver's skills to the needs of the client. We offer a variety of services, including: Personal Care, Light Housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Shopping/Errands, Weekly Transportation, and Nursing. If you are helping to arrange home-based care for your loved one, it's important to have support for yourself when needed, too! Special programs are available to help the caregiver as well as those being cared for.

Individualized Service Packages are also available if your loved one has specific health issues that require a higher level of care. These packages can include services such as assistance with activities of daily living, heart-healthy meal preparation, doctor or physical therapist directed exercise, and maintaining records of weight or blood sugar for the patient.
