The Thompson family purchased Edmonds Funeral Home from Mrs. Flossie Edmonds in 1976, and the Price family has been operating Southern Funeral Home since 1939. Both families have been committed to providing exceptional service to the community, and that commitment remains unchanged.

In 2017, Southern Funeral Home purchased Edmonds Funeral Home, bringing together two storied funeral homes with a shared vision of serving families with dignity, compassion, and personalization. The Thompson and Price families have continued the legacy of providing meaningful life celebrations to honor loved ones that have passed away.
