Our History

Our journey began in 1995 when Randy Russell decided to turn his dream into reality. After graduating from The Fay Jones School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, Randy's career took him to different cities and different firms. However, he always had a vision of establishing his own architectural firm. With a passion for design, a commitment to customer service, and an eye for detail, Russell Architects was founded. Over the years, we have completed projects ranging from $50,000 to $50,000,000, and we continue to provide the same level of service and attention to detail for each project.

Meet Our Owner - Randy Russell, AIA, President

Randy Russell is a registered architect, president, and founder of Russell Architects. With over twenty years of experience, Randy brings to clients, his company, and his profession a love for architecture and appreciation for the importance of excellent design, attention to detail, and professional ethics. Randy graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture in 1985.

Between semesters, Randy worked for Lifeway's Church Architecture Department in Nashville, Tennessee, where he gained invaluable experience designing religious facilities. Randy began his internship with an architectural firm in Kansas City. While in Kansas City, he also attended Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he obtained his Professional Missionary Qualifications. In 1995, shortly after moving to Springfield, Missouri, Randy started Russell Architects.

For the past twenty years, Randy's love for design and passion for the profession of architecture have combined to serve his clients with distinction. Whether designing a religious facility, long-term care facility, office building, supermarket, or private residence, Randy treats each of his clients as if they were his only one. For the past fifteen years, Randy has been a regular speaker at the Missouri Baptist Convention's Church Building Finance Conference in Jefferson City, Missouri.
