Our family-owned and operated company is located in Antioch and is a member of the Pest Control Operators of California. The owner, David Wallace, has held his Pest Control Operators license since 1985, and has over 40 years of experience. Our team of experts is led by David Wallace, a licensed inspector and contractor with over 40 years of experience. Our inspectors, James Joachim and Chris Vanlamsweerde, are also licensed inspectors, applicators, and contractors with a combined total of over 45 years of experience. Termite Prevention Tips
In order to help us give you the best evaluation of your home, here are a few things you can do prior to your termite inspection:
- Remove storage from areas under sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms
- Remove storage from the area within two feet of the exterior of the house
- Remove storage in the interior of the garage two feet away from the walls
- Trim back bushes or ground cover that conceals the walls or foundation
- Unlock all exterior gates and interior doors to all rooms/structures that are to be inspected
- Make provisions for your pets during the hours of the inspection
- If your home is built on a raised foundation, the inspector will need to go underneath the house. Make sure that the access opening to the sub area is not blocked by storage
- Advise the inspector of any known problems
Prevention Tips
Whether you have just moved into a new home or have been settled in for years, it is important to keep up with termite prevention. Here are some tips to prevent termites from infesting your home:
- Identify and fix all water leaks in your home, both internal and external
- Remove any brush or heavy growth from around your home
- Eliminate any standing or pooling water from around your home
- Store all excess building materials and firewood away from the house
- Use treated lumber for any wooden structures that will have direct contact with the ground
- Avoid using mulch or compost made from untreated wood products
- Keep attics and crawl spaces well-ventilated and dry
