Oconee Brewing

Oconee Brewing Company (OBC) is a craft beer production facility located in the heart of Greensboro, Georgia. Founded in 2017 by a group of dedicated and passionate individuals, OBC is committed to creating exceptional craft beers made with the finest ingredients and a whole lot of southern hospitality.

Our team is made up of "good people" who are dedicated to the art of brewing and sharing the joy of beer with our community. Our co-founder and brewmaster, Taylor Lamm, grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and worked in the banking industry before discovering his true calling as a Master Brewer. After working as an assistant brewer at Triangle Brewing Company and head brewer at Brewery 85, Taylor settled in Greensboro, Georgia, and opened OBC with his wife, Michelle, and a team of like-minded individuals.

Our director of communications, Leslie Tillery, hails from Atlanta and has a degree in English from Georgia State University. She handles all of our communication efforts, ensuring that our message is clear, concise, and engaging. Leslie and her husband are the proud parents of the best beagle ever.

Cathy Lamm, our event center manager, grew up in Wilson, North Carolina, and spent many years as an interior decorator in Augusta, Georgia. Cathy's passion for events and design led her to start her own business, and she joined the OBC team in 2017. When she's not managing events at the brewery, she's traveling the world as a travel designer with Cruise Planners. Cathy is the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren.

Kris Hopkins, our director of hospitality and administration, is a Greensboro local and has been involved with the brewery since the very beginning. She's a jack-of-all-trades, helping with events, photography, onsite merchandise, and office tasks. Kris and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters.

Nathan McGarity, co-founder and project developer, is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a degree in Marketing. Nathan began work with his father, John, after graduation and has been instrumental in the development of OBC. Nathan and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of three daughters and a son.

John McGarity, project developer and co-founder, is a fifth-generation native of Henry County, Georgia, and a graduate of the University of Georgia. John established his real estate firm in 1995 and has been married to his wife, Nan, for 42 years. They have been blessed with three sons and four grandchildren.

Our Services

At Oconee Brewing Company, we offer a wide range of services, including:

• Craft Beer Production: We brew a variety of craft beers using only the finest ingredients, including hops, malted barley, yeast, and water. Our beers are made with care and attention, resulting in a consistently exceptional product.
• Tasting Room: Our tasting room is open to the public and offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for beer lovers. We offer flights, pints, and growler fills, as well as a selection of snacks.
• Event Center: Our event center is a 3,600 square foot space with an 18-foot high glass curtain wall that opens to an outdoor patio. The event center can accommodate up to 200 people and is perfect for corporate events, weddings, and other special occasions.
• Food Truck: Our onsite food truck, The Burch at OBC, offers a variety of delicious and locally-sourced dishes, including burgers, sandwiches, and sides.
• Beer Delivery: We deliver our beer to local retail stores, ensuring that our customers have easy access to our products.
