Our History
McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency was founded in 1960 by Richard H. "Dick" McCashland in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dick began his insurance career as a life insurance agent and later added property and casualty lines of insurance. Over the years, the agency has grown through acquisitions and strategic partnerships, including the purchase of the Harrington Insurance Agency and the Kollmorgan Insurance Agency. Today, we are proud to be one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Lincoln, serving individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout Nebraska.
