Our general manager, Grant Ross, is a hospitality industry veteran with extensive experience in both corporate and private hotels and restaurants. Originally from Carnoustie, Scotland, Grant has a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Bass and is always happy to share stories with guests. His expertise in managing the complex ensures that every guest experience is a memorable one.
Chef John Barrett is a staple of the Black Bass Hotel, having worked here for over a decade prior to the renovations in 2009. After studying at the Culinary Institute of America, Chef John honed his skills at several well-known Philadelphia restaurants before bringing his talents to the Bass. His passion for cooking is evident in every dish he creates, and he is dedicated to using only the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients.
