At The Learning Express, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop at their own pace. Our philosophy is rooted in Lev Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory of Development, emphasizing the importance of social interaction, language, and culture in cognitive development. We believe that learning should be an enjoyable and engaging experience, fostering confidence, creativity, and critical-thinking skills through play-based activities.

Our Program

Our year-round, full-time program offers 10 hours of care per day for children from 6 weeks to Pre-K (5 years old). We operate under enhanced teacher-to-child ratios, ensuring personalized attention and care. Our teachers utilize the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, which features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. This approach enables children to develop at their own pace, making learning a fun and interactive experience.

Classroom Lesson Plans

Our lesson plans are designed to be "student-centered, " focusing on social interactions and collaborative learning. For children from 6 weeks to 24 months, plans are tailored to each individual based on their goals and needs. We believe that guidance from teachers and peers is essential for learning and development.

Our Ratios

We maintain enhanced teacher-to-child ratios: Under One Year: 1:5, One Year: 1:6, Two Years: 1:9, Three Years: 1:10, and Fours Years & Up: 1:13. These ratios ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive.

About Our Center

The Learning Express is a private, locally owned 5-star child development center located in Denver, North Carolina. We strive to provide a second home for our children, where play is cherished, love abounds, and comprehensive development is "fast-tracked." Our center is a peanut/tree nut free facility, and we are licensed with the number 55000161, operating from 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
