At SUN Insurance Agency, we have been proudly serving the Seattle community for over six decades. Established in 1959, our agency was founded by two entrepreneurs, Mr. Ralf Hatfield and Mr. David Valenti, who shared a vision of providing exceptional insurance solutions to individuals and families in our local community.

Since our inception, we have remained committed to serving our clients with integrity, professionalism, and dedication. Our History

Our journey began in 1959 when Mr. Ralf Hatfield, the former sales manager of Public Employees Mutual Insurance Company, and Mr. David Valenti, a PEMIC sales agent, joined forces to establish SUN Insurance Agency. Initially, our agency operated inside the Price Mart retail store in North Seattle, which is now a Safeway store.

Over the years, we have undergone changes in leadership, with Max S. Zoretic acquiring a majority stake in the agency in 1959. After Max's retirement in 2002, his son and daughter-in-law took over the reins. In 2017, Max's son, Daniel F. Zoretic, became the President and principal shareholder of SUN Insurance Agency.
