Our Story

At South Central Family Health Center, we have been dedicated to delivering high-quality primary care to medically underserved and low-socioeconomic communities across South, Southeast Los Angeles, and the San Gabriel Valley since 1981. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we have over 252 staff members, including 35 clinicians who provide direct medical services, treatment, and care to patients. Our comprehensive healthcare services are designed to meet the unique needs of our community, providing access to quality care for everyone, regardless of their financial status.

Our Services

We proudly offer collocated Primary Care, Dental Care, Behavioral Health, Vision Care, Pediatrics, Prenatal/Postpartum Care, Women's Health, Enhanced Care Management, Chiropractic, and Sexual Health services "all-under-one-roof." Our Primary Care services include excellent healthcare for everyone in the South Central community, regardless of their financial status. Our Dental Care services focus on taking care of your mouth, including your teeth, gums, tongue, the roof of your mouth, and the insides of your lips and cheeks. Our Behavioral Health services provide top-quality mental health and substance abuse help, certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Our Vision Care services provide complete vision services, including comprehensive eye exams and affordable prescription glasses. Our Pediatrics services provide comprehensive care and support for children and families from birth to adolescence, including primary care check-ups, preventive care, and treatment for childhood illnesses. Our Prenatal care providers offer on-site assistance and support throughout your pregnancy, offering prenatal checkups and ultrasounds to ensure a healthy delivery. Our Chiropractic services provide high-quality chiropractic care to prevent, diagnose, and treat bone, joint, and muscle issues. Our Sexual Health services offer family planning, HIV and STD/STI testing, and treatment, including pre/post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP & PrEP).

We have multiple locations to serve you, including South Central Family Health Center, Montebello Family Health Center, Huntington Park Family Health Center, Vernon Medical Center, Vision Care Center, Santa Fe Community Health Clinic, Cudahy Family Health Center, South Central Family Health Center - Dental & Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Wellness Center @ Jefferson High School, and Wellness Center @ Elizabeth Learning Center.
