Welcome to CEA Consulting Engineers, where we take a collaborative approach to providing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Energy Modeling services to the Central Oregon area. We have completed over 1,200 projects since our establishment in Bend in 1998. Initially, we started as an HVAC design firm and have since expanded to offer a full range of MEP design and consulting services to our Architectural and Construction community.

Our small size allows us to focus on serving our customers with high-quality engineered design, attention to detail, and the highest level of customer service. Our services include HVAC Design, Plumbing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Low Voltage Design, Lighting Design, Fire Protection Engineering, Life Safety and Fire Alarm Design, Utility Rate Analysis and Rate Negotiation, LEED Certification, Energy Modeling and Audits, Feasibility Studies, and Master Planning.

Our Team

We have a diverse team with extensive experience in various engineering disciplines. Kyle Swenson, P.E., is our Managing Principal, with a background in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has been leading our firm since early 2022, bringing a wealth of expertise in MEP design initiatives, retro-commissioning efforts, and business development.

Ronald S. Timko, P.E., LEED AP, serves as our Electrical Department Manager, with a degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Toledo. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial, residential, and industrial projects, specializing in power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

David Hawley, Mechanical Engineer, completed his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom. He has worked on notable public transit projects in the western United States, focusing on mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
