Our History

Our insurance agency has a rich history that dates back to 1995 when it was initially founded by Grady W. (Phil) Hux and Charles Laughridge under the name Coastal Benefits Group. Over the years, we have undergone transformations, including a reorganization in 2007 as First Carolina Agency, and finally, a name change to G.W. Hux & Company Insurance in 2012. Throughout our journey, we have expanded our insurance product lines and employed new staff members to better serve our clients.
