Rising Star Learning Center

Rising Star Learning Center is a 3-star Quality Rated Child Care facility that has been providing quality childcare to families in Southwest Cobb County since 2001. Our goal is to provide a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment where children can learn and grow. We care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age, Monday through Friday, 6:30AM - 6:30PM. We specialize in infants (six weeks -12 months), toddlers (12 months -36 months) and pre-schoolers (3 years -4 years old).

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to cater to the diverse needs of our families. These services include:

Georgia Lottery Pre-Kindergarten Program: A high-quality educational program designed for children aged 4-5 years. The program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Before and After School Care: We offer before and after school care services for school-age children, providing a safe and engaging environment where they can learn and have fun.

Summer Camp: Our summer camp program is designed for school-age children, providing a fun-filled summer with activities, games, and learning experiences.

Inclusion Care: We offer inclusion care services for children with special needs, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all children.

Our Approach

At Rising Star Learning Center, we believe that the classroom should be child-directed. Our teachers strive to assess the skills and progress of each child in the program by using observation notes and assessment tools. We believe in providing a high-quality education that meets the individual needs of each child. Our center uses the Creative Curriculum, and our teachers are trained in using this curriculum to provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Accreditation and Affiliations

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality childcare. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and are a partner with the Cobb Community Collaborative, an organization that works to improve the lives of residents in Cobb County.

Community Involvement

We believe in giving back to the community and are proud of our strong partnership with the elementary schools in the area. We maintain communication with the social workers, teachers, and principals to stay informed about school events, registrations, dates, and other concerns. We also partner with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in Cobb, Douglas, Carroll, and Fulton County to provide quality childcare to families who receive assistance from DFCS.

Parent Resources

We believe that parents are an integral part of their child's education. We provide various resources to help parents stay informed about their child's progress and stay involved in their child's education. These resources include regular parent-teacher conferences, online payment options, and regular communication with our teachers and staff.
