Our Story
Our journey began when Steve Schmid, a former teacher and counselor, installed hardwood floors in his Sturgeon Lake log cabin in 1980. Inspired by the results, he went on to install hardwood floors in his Roseville home and soon became known among friends, neighbors, and colleagues for his exceptional work. As the demand for his services grew, Steve retired from teaching in 1999 and devoted himself full-time to the business. With the help of his wife, Linda, and their daughter, Lisa, who joined the business in 1995, Floors by Steve continued to thrive and expand its services.
