Beyond The Mountain Brewing Company is an award-winning brewery located in the Gunbarrel neighborhood of Boulder, Colorado. Our taproom features 12 taps of year-round, seasonal, and small-batch brews made with the finest ingredients. Our passion for beer is only rivaled by our love of live music, and we feature bands on our stage every weekend, as well as weekly open bluegrass picks and open mic nights.

Our Story

Beyond The Mountain Brewing grew out of a mutual love of music and brewing between two lifelong friends, Charles Hixon and Morgan Way. The dream was to one day own a brewery that cultivated the camaraderie and spirit of both the craft beer and live music scenes. With a combined 10 years' experience in the brewing industry, including positions at breweries in Denver and Boulder, Charles and Morgan set out to create a brewery that would showcase their creativity and reflect the influence of improvisational music. Our focus is on one-off and experimental beers developed with innovation and creativity.

Taproom Experience

Our 12 taps feature a rotating selection of year-round, seasonal, and small-batch brews. We offer a variety of non-alcoholic options, including Athletic Brewing Non-Alcoholic Beers, as well as cans of kombucha and sparkling water. Our taproom menu also features locally made food options from Rocky Mountain Pizza Company, XLVII's Bakery, LAZO Empanadas, and MECO Cheesy Bites. You are also welcome to bring your own food or order delivery to the taproom!

Events and Live Music

We have a lively events schedule, featuring live music every Saturday night, as well as weekly open bluegrass picks and open mic nights. We also host trivia nights, music bingo, and other special events throughout the week. Check our website for the latest calendar of events.

Awards and Recognition

We are proud to have received numerous awards and recognition from the craft beer community. Our beers have taken home medals from competitions including the New York International Beer Competition, the US Beer Tasting Championship, and the Denver International Beer Competition.
