Our History
The Lozano family has a long history in Flagstaff, dating back to 1928 when Richard's grandparents, Gumercindo and Hermina Santana Lozano, immigrated from Mexico. Richard's parents were Rosary Diaz Lozano and Oriol Santana Lozano, both born in Williams and Flagstaff. Richard grew up in Flagstaff and attended public schools, graduating from Coconino High School in 1981. After serving in the United States Navy, Richard started a mortuary apprenticeship and later attended Cypress College of Mortuary Science in California. He eventually returned to Flagstaff to work as a funeral home manager and later purchased the Flagstaff Mortuary, renaming it Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary & Crematory.
