Our Story

Our story began with Justin, who started plumbing in the mid-nineties as an apprentice in Boston. He then moved to Oregon, where he continued to gain experience in large commercial projects, including restaurants, hotels, and grocery chains. When he moved back to Vermont, he joined a commercial plumbing outfit to gain some local experience before venturing out on his own. His father-in-law, Bob, brought his 40+ years of experience in the construction industry to the table, and together, they formed the foundation of Merrill Mechanical.

We offer a wide range of services, including plumbing, heating, gas piping, and heat pumps. Our team specializes in new-construction and renovation services in the small-medium commercial space, as well as larger, high-end homes. • System designs that meet the demands of our customers for their plumbing and mechanical needs from pre-construction to the final development of plans and specs.
• Installation and construction of all plumbing and mechanical scopes from underground to finish.
• HVAC maintenance, replacement, and installation, including preventative maintenance on existing cooling, heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems, as well as replacement of failed or faulty mechanical HVAC systems.
• Mini ductless/ducted heat pumps, which offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners for all climates.
