Our Mission

Eventide Theatre Company provides an encouraging, supportive environment for actors and playwrights leading to excellent, creative, and thought-provoking performances that stimulate and educate Cape audiences of all ages. We believe in the power of theatre to bring people together in creative experiences.

A Rich History & Established Presence

Founded in 1998, Eventide Theatre Company has established itself as a vital cultural institution on Cape Cod. Through the years, we've collaborated with talented performers, playwrights, and directors to present countless memorable productions, concerts, and lectures. Over 10,000 audience members have enjoyed our entertaining and unique programs.

Celebrating Creativity & Fostering New Voices

We are dedicated to fostering new talent through our Kaplan Playwriting Competition, an annual event that discovers and celebrates emerging playwrights. Additionally, we prioritize creating a welcoming and supportive environment for actors of all ages and experience levels.

Celebrating Artistic Collaboration

Our programs extend beyond performances. We actively support local artists through workshops, collaborations, and community events. In true partnership with the Dennis Union Church, we have lovingly maintained and upgraded the Gertrude Lawrence Stage, creating a vibrant space for artistic expression.

As a financially secure 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we leverage every dollar with utmost efficiency. 80 cents of every dollar we receive goes directly towards creating exceptional theatre experiences for our community.
