Our story began in 1997 when Pameco, a national wholesaler, acquired Superior Supply Company, a well-established HVAC/Refrigeration distributor with a strong reputation for excellent products and staff. However, the acquisition led to a decline in customer service, as local decisions could no longer be made without consulting the parent company. This had a negative impact on the business and employee morale.

Determined to restore the superior level of service that dealers and contractors had come to expect, Bill Geckles, Mark Chavez, and Bob Miller, each with over 20 years of experience at Superior Supply, decided to take action. They founded Key Refrigeration Supply of Kansas City, LLC, which officially opened its doors in Lenexa, KS on June 3, 1999.

Since then, we have been dedicated to unlocking superior service for life for each and every one of our employees.
