Bauer Funeral Home

Bauer Funeral Home has been serving the Effingham area since 1932, providing dedicated and compassionate service to families during their time of need. Our story begins with Frank T. and Frances (Althoff) Bauer, who established the funeral home in 1932. Over the years, we have grown and expanded to include a second location in Teutopolis, acquired in 1975. Today, we continue to serve the community with a team of experienced and licensed funeral directors.

Our Staff

Our staff members are caring and experienced professionals who understand the importance of personal requests and traditions. They are dedicated to guiding families in creating a meaningful ceremony to honor their loved ones. Our team includes Carole Bauer, the owner, Brian Young, a licensed funeral director and Vietnam veteran, and Mallory Loker, another licensed funeral director. We also have several associates who assist in various capacities.
