Why Keep Up Your Oral Health?
Maintaining good oral health is crucial for your overall well-being. Regular check-ups and cleanings can help catch dental problems early on, preventing more invasive and expensive treatments in the long run. By taking care of your teeth, you can enjoy a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles.
What is a Cavity?
A cavity is a hole in a tooth caused by tooth decay. When bacteria in your mouth break down sugars and produce acid, it can lead to the destruction of your tooth. Fluoride helps to make teeth more resistant to acid destruction.
What is Prosthodontics?
Prosthodontics is the specialization of dentistry that deals with the restoration and replacement of teeth. A prosthodontist is a dental specialist who receives additional training to become an expert in cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, partial dentures, complete dentures, and implant-supported replacement teeth.
Dentures? Do I Need Them?
Dentures are designed to replace missing teeth, but it's essential to consider the pros and cons before making a decision. Unlike natural teeth, dentures can be painful to chew with and may not feel as comfortable as natural teeth. Consult with your dentist to determine if dentures are right for you.
What Does My Insurance Cover?
Your dental insurance policy may cover a percentage of certain dental procedures, with a co-pay (out-of-pocket expense) paid by the insured. Contact your insurance company for a complete explanation of your coverage. If you need help understanding your policy, our team is here to provide guidance.
What If I Don't Have Insurance?
Don't worry - we have options available to help you access the care you need. We offer in-house plans and third-party financing options to ensure that everyone can get the dental care they deserve.
At Arts and Crafts Dental, our mission is to provide exceptional care to our patients while ensuring that the community has access to quality dentistry. We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly practice that welcomes patients of all ages.
Positive and Negative Reviews
Charges and Service Quality
Some reviewers were unhappy with the prices they paid for services. Al Mitchell, for example, felt that the $330 charge for recementing a crown was exorbitant, particularly compared to a cheaper option he found at a different dentist in Nashville. Scott Rollins also had issue with the cost of services, stating that he was told he needed a cleaning and was charged for it, only to be told by another dentist that he had already had a cleaning done recently.
Patient Experience
Many reviewers, however, had positive experiences at Arts and Crafts Dentistry. Laura Brawner praised the "friendly, knowledgeable, patient" staff and Dr. Bridget Yougus for her "wonderful" bedside manner. Kali C. appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and reported that Dr. Young and her assistant did a great job with her X-rays and cleaning. Paul McGarry, Benjamin Ogden, Greg Foster, and Rob Rupp all gave high ratings and praised the staff, Dr. Linehan, and the overall care received.
Parking and Office Environment
Chelsea Avery noted that the office does not have a parking lot, which may be inconvenient for some patients. She also mentioned that the office is charming but not the most modern.
Conclusion
While some reviewers had issues with the prices or service quality, many reported having positive experiences at Arts and Crafts Dentistry. The office staff, dentists, and overall care all received high praise.
