Our Firm's History

The firm's history dates back to 1973 when it was first established as Moraitis & Cofar. In 1978, William M. Karney joined as an associate, and in 1981, he became a partner, leading to a name change to Moraitis, Cofar & Karney. George Moraitis, Jr. joined the firm in 2002 and became a partner in 2005, resulting in another name change to Moraitis, Cofar, Karney & Moraitis. John Quailey joined in 2011 and became a partner in 2016, leading to the current name, Moraitis, Karney, Moraitis & Quailey.

Our attorneys are highly respected in their fields, with several enjoying an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating an attorney can achieve. Mr. Moraitis, Sr. has spoken at numerous Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education and Attorney's Title Insurance Fund seminars on various topics in the real estate field. He has also served on the executive Council of the Florida Bar and was a former Director of Attorneys' Title Fund Services, Inc.
