About Lauren Watkins, CPA
Lauren Watkins, CPA, is a graduate of Wake Forest University, with both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Accounting. She obtained her CPA in 2012 and has over five years of public accounting experience with a top 10 national public accounting firm and over 3 years of public accounting experience running her own accounting firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Customer Service Issues
The customer service at this company has been a major letdown for some clients. Miranda Wood was extremely disappointed with the service, giving it a 1-star rating. She shared a frustrating story of providing her extended 2021 tax information in April 2022, but not receiving any refunds by January 2023. To make matters worse, her direct deposit information was not given to the IRS, resulting in lost checks in the mail for months. Wood claimed that Lauren, the customer service representative, was unresponsive and had no regard for her issue, forcing her to email multiple times to get a response. Unfortunately, she still has not received her $3000 tax refunds, almost a year later.
Positive Experience
On the other hand, Chris Leddy had a wonderful experience with the company, giving them a 5-star rating. Leddy praised Lauren, stating that she was great to work with and had helped with both business taxes and fiduciary returns. Leddy highly recommends the company.
