PCCNS, located in the heart of Rockaway Borough, is a cooperative nursery school that has been serving the community since 1956. Our preschool is a unique blend of academic learning and creative fun, fostering a love for education in a warm and caring environment. With highly certified teachers and small class sizes, we ensure that each child's developmental needs are met.

At PCCNS, we understand the importance of a child's early years and the role parents play in their education. That's why we are a cooperative nursery school, where teachers and parents work together to create a supportive and nurturing environment for all children. Co-oping is an excellent way for parents to be directly involved in their child's school, and we offer various sign-up activities based on parent schedules.

Empathy and Kindness Start at a Young Age

One of our core beliefs at PCCNS is that children are never too young to learn about empathy and kindness. We provide numerous outreach opportunities for our children, such as our raised garden bed project, where children plant fruits and vegetables and care for the garden until harvest time. The harvested produce is then given to those in need.

Academics and Play

At PCCNS, we offer low rates and flexible payment plans for our classes, which run for 1/2 day sessions for children ages 2.5, 3, 4, and 4+. Our STREAM for Kids curriculum is an interdisciplinary approach to foster the love of learning through hands-on activities throughout the year. We focus on experiments, building, management, and creative thought, which are critical for early childhood development.

We also have an amazing new playground that challenges our children and provides them with various activities to enjoy. We offer a two-week summer camp to kick off the season, giving children the opportunity to experience PCCNS in a different setting.
