Our Story

The beautiful trees drew us in, and the history of The Peach Orchard intrigued us. The love story captivated us in such a way that it solidified the desire for this historic venue to be preserved. The Peach Orchard's alchemy enables each wedding or event to have its own distinctive ambiance and feeling. The only constant? A legendary setting.

A Labor of Love Produces the Sweetest Fruit

It has been written in poetry of old, and whispered in songs, that a labor of love produces the sweetest fruit. The land that was once home to a revered and successful peach orchard owned by the Goedecke family is now a dream destination for vows and celebrations. Mr. and Mrs. Goedecke did not take the typical retirement path but rather, they shifted their exceptional work ethic into establishing a new business. What started with just a few dozen peach trees that Rudy single handedly planted on their property quickly accumulated to over 400 peach trees, turning Rudy and Phoebe's humble business into a thriving and prosperous peach orchard.

Selling freshly picked fruit and addictive homemade jams and jellies, Rudy and Phoebe could barely pick the peaches off the trees fast enough! In 1991, Rudy built a massive barn where all the peaches were prepared with pride and care. Today, this barn has been the inspiration for a breathtaking chapel, in honor of the orchard's legacy and labor of love.
