The Irvine Children's Fund (ICF) stands as a beacon of support for young learners and working families in Irvine. We partner with the Irvine Child Care Project (ICCP) to ensure that every child in our community has access to quality, affordable before and after-school child care.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to bridge the gap between quality childcare and the financial realities faced by many families. Through scholarships, grants, and other initiatives, we:

• Increase accessibility: Making quality childcare accessible to low-income families through scholarships and supporting the expansion of ICCP facilities.
• Promote affordability: Working alongside ICCP to offer subsidies and keep childcare costs manageable for families.
• Empower communities: Providing grants to schools and childcare centers to enhance their programs and resources.

Our Services

Our diverse services are designed to support families and children in various ways:

For Low-Income Families

• Child Care Scholarships: Providing direct financial assistance to low-income families for before and after-school care.
• Accessibility Improvements: Supporting ICCP in making childcare facilities accessible to individuals with disabilities.

For Schools and Childcare Programs

• Grants: Providing funding for program enhancements, supplies, and activities.
• Technical Support: Helping childcare centers and schools meet regulatory requirements.

For the Community

• Irvine Junior Games: Organizing an annual fundraising track & field event to raise funds for ICCP.
• Volunteering: Engaging community members in volunteering opportunities at childcare centers and ICCP facilities.

Our Impact

Since our inception, ICF has made a tangible impact in the lives of countless families and children:

• Provided over $3 million in scholarships and funding to ICCP.
• Supported the expansion and maintenance of 7 childcare centers.
• Offered 2,000 childcare scholarships to low-income families.
• Supported school programs and activities with over $265,850 in grants.
