Our Story
Our clinic's story begins with our founder, Stewart Sommers, who was introduced to acupuncture by his mother, Dr. Marshall Sommers, an anesthesiologist. After learning about the field of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Stewart was intrigued and decided to investigate further. He studied a pre-medical curriculum and later attended the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas. During his training, he had the opportunity to practice at the school's outpatient clinic and in hospital settings, giving him a unique perspective on the integration of Eastern and Western medicine.
Our Mission
Our mission at Acupuncture Wellness Center is to provide each patient with the best care possible. We take the time to listen to each patient and learn what makes their situation unique, allowing us to address their concerns with medical treatment tailored to their needs and promoting healing. We believe that Chinese Medicine treats the underlying imbalance at the root of a person's condition, rather than just addressing symptoms.

Stewart is a licensed acupuncturist with extensive training and experience in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Our staff also includes Dr. Marshall Sommers, an anesthesiologist who has practiced medicine for over 30 years and has continued her education in Eastern medicine.
