Whatcom Law Group has a rich history deeply intertwined with the fabric of Whatcom County. Founded in 1990 by Roger L. Ellingson, a passionate attorney who had previously practiced in Oregon, the firm was born from a desire to serve his home community with integrity and dedication. Roger's roots run deep in Whatcom County, having completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University, and he has always been drawn to the area's beauty, sense of community, and unwavering spirit. Starting with a small practice called The Law Offices of Roger Ellingson, P.S., in both Ferndale and Blaine, Roger set a foundation built on hard work, unwavering commitment to clients, and a belief in the power of accessible legal counsel.

Over the past three decades, Whatcom Law Group has grown and evolved, expanding its team of talented attorneys and support staff. Our dedication to serving Whatcom County has always remained at the forefront of our mission. In 2020, marking 30 years of providing exceptional legal services, the firm made a strategic decision to rebrand itself as The Whatcom Law Group, P.S., recognizing the diverse expertise and skill sets brought by its dedicated team.
