Our story began in 1998, when our founder, Frances R. Hudgins, started working on residential, ecclesiastical, and small commercial projects. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to provide our clients with attentive, personalized service, which has earned us a reputation for excellence in the architectural industry.

Our Team

Our team is led by Frances R. Hudgins, a registered architect with degrees from the University of Virginia, School of Architecture. Frances began her career in New York City and Washington, DC, working on large international and government projects. She decided to start Hudgins Design Collaborative in 1999, focusing on projects that would allow her to cultivate solid working relationships with clients and contractors.

Frances is married to Tim Hudgins, an architect who graduated from the Virginia Tech School of Architecture. They frequently work together, bringing their combined expertise and passion for design to every project they undertake.
