Our Story

Leach Animal Hospital is proud to continue a legacy of animal health care that spans over 90 years. Our story begins in 1933 when Dr. Leach's father became the first veterinarian on Cape Cod. Dr. Leach grew up observing his father's practice and kindled his passion for veterinary medicine. After earning his veterinary doctorate, Dr. Leach partnered with a local vet and gained extensive experience in equine field services, including working at racetracks and providing ambulatory services to farms. His expertise even extended to serving as a veterinarian for a Kentucky Derby horse in 1984. In 2001, Dr. Leach designed and built the current Leach Animal Hospital, which has become a trusted name in the community for its skilled and dedicated staff.
