Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center, nestled amidst the beauty of Glen Rose, Texas, celebrates over 80 years of inspiring spiritual growth and fostering meaningful connections. Our unique camp welcomes children, students, adults, volunteers, and their families from all walks of life to experience God in fun-filled adventures on their journey to becoming disciples of Christ.

Our Mission

Our primary goal is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We strive to create a Christian environment where authentic relationships are formed and where individuals can deepen their connection to God through various programs and retreats.

What We Do

Glen Lake Camp operates in two distinct phases:

1. Retreats

Throughout the fall and spring, our serene setting becomes a sanctuary for churches and groups to escape the distractions and focus on their spiritual growth.

2. Summer Camps

From June to August, we welcome over 2,000 children from across Texas. These camps prioritize fun-filled activities alongside biblical learning, fostering lasting memories and spiritual development.

Founded in 1939, Glen Lake Camp has witnessed generations connect with God amidst the picturesque cliffs of the Paluxy River. Through tireless efforts of volunteers and dedicated staff, the camp has evolved into a beloved cornerstone of spiritual growth for the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
