Our History

Founded in 1951, A. Martini & Co. has proudly served the region as a Construction Management and General Contracting firm for over seven decades. The company's story is deeply rooted in the unwavering dedication of the Martini family, a testament to their enduring values and commitment to excellence. The journey began in 1942 when Antonio Martini, a recent immigrant with a vision, established a small contracting company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Driven by the desire to build a legacy that would support his growing family, Antonio poured his heart and soul into every project. As his reputation for quality craftsmanship and integrity soared, he partnered with his close friend, Gilbert Auel, in 1951 to formalize their enterprise, giving birth to A. Martini & Co. - a name that would become synonymous with unwavering commitment to client satisfaction.

From the outset, A. Martini & Co. embraced the concept of family, with Antonio's daughter, Clementine Pittore, diligently serving as the company's secretary. In 1959, Antonio's son, Angelo Martini Sr., joined the ranks, initially as a field superintendent, learning the intricacies of the business firsthand from his father. Angelo Sr., guided by Antonio's unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence, spearheaded the company's expansion and diversification, taking on increasingly challenging projects that included shopping plazas, grocery stores, post offices, churches, and banks. In 1968, with Antonio's thoughtful retirement, Angelo Sr. and Clementine stepped into leadership roles, steering the company towards even greater heights.

Driven by a passion for building, Angelo Sr.'s sons, Anthony and Angelo Jr., joined the family business in the 1980s, bringing fresh perspectives and unwavering dedication. Today, Anthony serves as President, while Angelo Jr. leads as Chief Operating Officer, carrying the torch of the family legacy into the 21st century. The profound impact of family continues as Mollie Martini, Anthony's daughter, joined the company in 2017, marking A. Martini & Co.'s ascension into a fourth-generation enterprise. Mollie serves as a Project Manager, working collaboratively with her uncle Angelo Jr. on the operations side, ensuring the continuity of the company's core values. More recently, Elizabeth Martini, Angelo Jr.'s daughter, joined the team in 2021, assuming the role of Business Development and Marketing.
