Our hospital was founded in 1984 by Dr. Violet Nix with a vision to provide the most advanced and compassionate care for pets, while creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for their families.

At Chateau Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to making the experience as stress-free as possible for your pets. We are proud to be the first Fear Free certified hospital in Louisiana (and the second in the nation) since April 2018. Our Fear Free certification means that we use calming techniques and procedures that make vet visits less frightening for your animal companions. This makes it easier to bring them in, examine them, and treat them, resulting in a healthier pet and a less stressed owner.
