Our History

Our story began in the late 1930s when John Bellody started picking up and selling natural brown sand from southern New Jersey and delivering it to local mason supply companies. Recognizing an opportunity, John visited Lantern Hill Sand Company in Ledyard, CT, and offered to distribute the white quartz sand for plastering, stucco, and sand-finished ceilings throughout New England. Since then, our company has grown and evolved, branching out into concrete pavers and retaining walls, as well as a line of bulk and bagged decorative landscape stone for the lawn and garden industry.
