Our Story
The name "Turkey Red" pays homage to a type of wheat, symbolizing our commitment to freshly baked breads and pastries every day. Our founder, Alex Papasavas, arrived in Alaska in 1997 and fell in love with the community. Over the years, her passion for sustainable and delicious food translated into everything Turkey Red stands for. Today, we're proud to celebrate our 15th anniversary, and our commitment to sustainability and community has only grown stronger.
