Somerset Group is an independent registered financial advisor, founded in 2012 by a group of experienced portfolio managers who were looking to break away from large institutions to better serve the unique needs of their clients. As a true fiduciary, we always act in our clients' best interest, without any proprietary products, sales quotas, or conflicts of interest.

Our team is the backbone of our firm, comprised of dedicated professionals with diverse backgrounds in financial services, investment management, and portfolio construction. We are proud to introduce our key team members:

1. Arlene Kielley, President and Portfolio Manager: With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Arlene brings a wealth of knowledge to the Somerset Group as our President and Portfolio Manager. She has spent most of her career at US Bank in the portfolio management and private wealth group, where she honed her craft of developing custom solutions for individuals and institutions. Arlene's commitment to her clients' long-term financial well-being makes her a crucial member of our investment team.

2. Julie Toelle, Treasurer and Head of Operations: Julie is the head of operations for both our Minnesota and Florida offices. With a strong attention to detail and over 24 years of investment management operations experience, Julie ensures the smooth functioning of our firm. Her exemplary commitment to Somerset clients has set her apart as a trusted team member.

3. Cyndy Hansen, Financial Advisor: Cyndy joined Somerset Group in 2017, bringing her passion for working hard and planning ahead. Having run a successful family retail business in Minnetonka, she incorporates her analyzing and trading skills in financial planning for families. Outside the office, she enjoys staying active with her three children and contributing to the community as a Boy and Girl Scout volunteer.
