Heal Vet is a full-service small animal hospital located in the heart of the Mount Auburn neighborhood, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide comprehensive veterinary care with a focus on wellness, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, and specialists. Our Philosophy

Our veterinarians have broad experience and surgical skills, complemented by our highly trained and dedicated staff. This allows us to provide a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services. Our care options include visiting specialists and a referral network of great local professionals, from acupuncturists to trainers to emergency hospitals. We're committed to finding and exploring all options with you to ensure your pet receives quality care, whether at Heal Vet or elsewhere.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of experienced and passionate veterinarians, trainers, and support staff. Our veterinarians are committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and technology. Meet our talented team:

• Dr. Amanda K. Leef, DVM, Practice Owner: Dr. Leef's journey to practice ownership began when she caught a snake as a small child. She graduated from Michigan State University's DVM program and has worked in rural mixed animal practices, high-volume spay-neuter programs, animal shelters, and urban small-animal practices.
• Dr. Kristie Mientka, DVM: Dr. Mientka grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts, and completed her pre-veterinary degree at U-Mass. She interned with the Humane Society of the United States in their farm animal welfare section and has worked at animal shelters and rescue organizations.
• Dr. Leigh Davis, VMD: Dr. Davis grew up in nearby Carlisle, Massachusetts, riding horses and teaching riding lessons. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and has worked at a veterinary hospital in Philadelphia.
• Dr. Lauren Therriault, VMD: Dr. Therriault grew up in Connecticut and received her undergraduate degree at St. Mary's College of Maryland. She attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine and has worked at a primary care and 24hr emergency hospital in Baltimore.

Supporting Team

Our supporting team includes trainers, technicians, and administrative staff who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and customer service. Meet our team:

• Nic Emmons, Trainer: Nic is a Massachusetts native and lifetime dog and cat dad. He has a diverse background in dog training and uses his experiences to help families and their pets live their best lives together.
• Arianna Enos, Front Desk Team & Office Admin: Arianna grew up avidly watching Animal Planet and has a strong passion for animal welfare.
• Gouri Aanand, Front Desk Team & Tech Assist: Gouri is a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
