Music is the soundtrack of our lives.

Lansing Chiropractic Office, P.C. is dedicated to providing our community with gentle, effective chiropractic care that you can trust. Our office is led by Dr. Robert Brown, D.C., D.A.B.C.O, who has been practicing in Lansing since 1986. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Brown specializes in the Activator Methods, a device used in a gentle form of chiropractic that manipulates your spine with a high velocity force, while providing the greatest amount of control over the adjustment. This technique is well-tolerated for individuals of all ages and those experiencing pain.

Dr. Brown's interest in chiropractic began when members of his family received adjustments. He met a chiropractor in college, who explained the chiropractic theory that all nerves come down through the spinal chord and reach out to control everything. This sparked his interest, and he attended state and local meetings to gain a deeper understanding of what chiropractors do. He pursued this passion, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honors from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1982. Since then, he has completed post-graduate work including 400 hours of chiropractic orthopedics (D.A.B.C.O.), 100 hours of advanced studies in spinal and skeletal radiology, 36 hours of neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation, and he has held an advanced proficiency rating with Activator Methods for 30 years.

Dr. Brown's training was similar to medical school, with differences. Chiropractors do not spend much time on pharmacology, as they choose not to prescribe medicines. They do more radiology than most medical students, as many take and read their own x-rays. They do not learn surgery, although some states allow chiropractors to perform minor surgery. They learn about drawing blood and setting fractures, which some states permit (New York is not one of them). Just out of school, Dr. Brown worked with his mother's chiropractor on Long Island for about three months, then began attending meetings of chiropractors in New York City. The group conducted sessions on the business end of running a private practice. At one of these meetings, Dr. Brown met Dr. James Juenger of Trumansburg, and they eventually became partners in a Lansing office.

About Dr. Brown

Dr. Brown has practiced in Lansing since 1986, and before that, he practiced in Trumansburg with the late Dr. James B. Juenger for three years. Dr. Brown specializes in the Activator Methods, a device used in a gentle form of chiropractic that manipulates your spine with a high velocity force, while providing the greatest amount of control over the adjustment. The technique is well-tolerated for individuals of all ages and those experiencing pain, yet is highly effective.

Dr. Brown has two employees, Geraldine (Jerry) Ford and Jo Ann Davis. Massage Therapist Helen Tseng rents space, offering patients that service as well. Dr. Brown says all kinds of people come for adjustments. He says one 90-year-old patient drove to his office last week in the snowstorm after going bowling. Last year, he made a house call on a 102-year-old woman.
