Applied Kinesiology (AK)

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a unique form of diagnosis that utilizes muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism to assess a person's overall body function. When properly applied, an AK diagnosis will determine the most effective form of therapy for the individual. Drawing from various complementary therapies, AK offers an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to health care.

In an AK session, a muscle that tests weak will be evaluated to determine the root cause of its dysfunction. Following this assessment, the practitioner will apply the most suitable therapy, which may include joint manipulation or mobilization, myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian therapy, clinical nutrition, dietary management, and various reflex procedures. In some cases, the examiner may test for environmental or food sensitivities using a previously strong muscle to identify any potential triggers.
