Our journey began in 1985 when our founder, Shaun Merrell, Sr., started his first company, SM Construction, in Baltimore County, Maryland. SM Construction quickly became one of the largest subcontractors in the area, working with prominent companies in Maryland. In 1993, Mr. Merrell decided to explore a new avenue and started a new company, Unlimited Services Available, which supplied skilled manpower to contractors. By 1994, Unlimited Services Available had expanded into Virginia and Washington DC.

In the early 2000s, Mr. Merrell's brother started a residential remodeling company, which received considerable success in just over a year. Mr. Merrell then handed over the remodeling company to his brother and started a new remodeling company of his own. In March 2006, Shaun Merrell Inc. was introduced and has been growing rapidly ever since. Due to the quality of workmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction, 70% of our remodeling projects come from referrals of satisfied customers and jobsite passersby.

In recent years, we have changed our name to Maryland Remodeling & Design/Build, further solidifying our position as the premier home improvement contractor in the Maryland area.
