Since 1967, Adrian Community Preschool has been a beacon of early childhood education in Lenawee County. We believe in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can blossom and develop their full potential. Our experienced and passionate staff work in partnership with families to foster the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of every child.

Our Mission

Our mission is to prepare young children for successful transitions to kindergarten and beyond by offering:

• A child-centered curriculum that encourages exploration, discovery, and creativity.
• A supportive and nurturing environment that fosters social-emotional growth.
• A safe and secure space where children can learn and thrive.

Who We Serve

Our programs are open to children who:

• Are 3 or 4 years old by September 1st.
• Have not yet started kindergarten.
• Meet income eligibility guidelines.

Our Programs

We offer two programs to meet the diverse needs of our families:

• 3-Year-Old Program: This play-based program focuses on social-emotional development, physical exploration, and foundational learning skills.
• 4-Year-Old GSRP Program: This curriculum-driven program prepares children for kindergarten through rigorous learning activities, with a focus on literacy, math, science, and technology.

We believe that learning should be a joyful and engaging experience. Our experienced teachers utilize developmentally appropriate practices to create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. We encourage exploration, celebrate individuality, and promote positive social interactions.
