Our Practitioner

Carl M. Balingit, Licensed Acupuncturist, is the founder of Balingit Acupuncture. Before starting his practice in 2006, Carl was a nuclear plant engineer. He has a traditional Chinese perspective on health but keeps an engineering and scientific mindset in his application of acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Carl practices general medicine rather than a specialty and focuses on individuals and their unique health needs. He commonly treats disorders related to pain and injury, digestion, sexuality, and emotions such as anxiety. He also addresses a broad range of symptoms that accompany these disorders.

At Balingit Acupuncture, Carl offers a holistic perspective on specific diseases by taking a person's "big picture" condition into account. His critical analysis and troubleshooting skills, honed during his engineering tenure, inform his medical practice. Carl uses various techniques, including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, tui na, and shonishin.
