Brown Funeral Home

At Brown Funeral Home, we are more than just a funeral home. We are a family, dedicated to serving the families of Washington County and all surrounding counties with the utmost care and dignity in their time of need. Our story began in 1966 when Don and Nina Brown founded Brown Funeral Home with the goal of providing a safe and comforting environment for families to say their final goodbyes.

Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to better serve our community. In 1994, Don became the manager of the former Wachob Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery located on Brickyard Road in Chipley, and in 2009, he purchased it from Prime Successions and renamed it Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Chapel. In 2014, we sold the Brickyard Chapel to a local church in Chipley, Grace and Glory, and began renovations of the Main Street Chapel to increase the seating capacity to over 200 people and to provide for any type of service needed.

Today, we continue to serve families with the same compassion and understanding that we have become known for throughout the years. We offer full funeral arrangements, cremation, and after-care services, and have a staff with combined experience of over 150 years to serve you at your time of need. We also offer pre-need services with a licensed pre-need agent on staff, which is required by the State of Florida, to take care of all pre-need funded or non-funded arrangements you wish to make.

In 2016, we were proud to announce the opening of our new facility, Blue Lake Crematory, making us the only full-service funeral home in the surrounding area. This new facility allows us to better serve our community and provide a wider range of services to our families.
