Our Visionary Team

At Midtown Eyeworks Optometry, we pride ourselves on our highly qualified team of professionals. Dr. Donald Yee, a native Sacramentan, brings a wealth of experience to our practice. Following his undergraduate studies at CSU Sacramento, he earned both his second undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Optometry from the prestigious University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Yee's dedication to specialty eye care led him to complete a residency in specialty contact lens fitting and ocular disease at UC Berkeley, where he received extensive training in clinics at UC Berkeley School of Optometry, UC San Francisco Medical Center, and Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. After gaining valuable experience at the Eye Physicians of the East Bay and the Beckman Vision Center at UCSF, Dr. Yee returned to his hometown, continuing to share his expertise by teaching at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry.

Dr. Alex Takeda, a Sacramento native himself, joined our team, bringing a passion for serving his community. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Pacific and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Dr. Takeda further honed his skills at Schermer Eye Associates in Sacramento and the VA Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Aligned with our commitment to providing comprehensive eye care, Dr. Takeda is dedicated to addressing each patient's individual needs with the utmost care and attention.
