Disappointing Experience with Stambaugh&Ness
Unprofessional Service and Delays
The reviewer, Jared Balton, had a terrible experience with Stambaugh&Ness, a tax preparation service. He initially chose them because his parents had heard good things about them. However, the experience turned out to be a nightmare.
Delays and Miscommunication
Jared submitted his tax return, but the preparation took an inordinate amount of time. The preparer claimed that the W-2 form from the United States Military website was not official, despite Jared's insistence that it was legitimate. This led to a lengthy delay, with Jared having to continually call and argue to get an update on his return.
Unjustified Billing
After finally receiving his tax return, Jared was shocked to receive a $150 bill for the service, which he felt was unprofessional and unjustified, considering the delays and poor communication.
Loss of Trust and Future Plans
Jared was extremely dissatisfied with the experience and vowed to do his own taxes from now on, feeling that he could not trust Stambaugh&Ness to handle his taxes efficiently and professionally.
