Cedar in general is a very stable species, meaning it withstands warping and shrinking. It is naturally resistant to insect infestation and decay. Left alone, it will turn a silvery gray color, but whether for aesthetics or increased longevity, it will hold stain well. Valley Custom Fence primarily uses Northern White Cedar (Thuja occidentalis) for your fence because it is milled to our specifications - not someone else's. This allows us to start with thicker stock lumber to work with. Thicker lasts longer! Northern white cedar is also sustainably grown right in our region; therefore, it requires less shipping and handling, keeping costs down.

Ornamental Fence

Valley Custom Fence is pleased to offer you the best choices in ornamental steel and aluminum fences. Get the traditional look of wrought iron without the ongoing maintenance. There are many styles to choose from to give you an elegant and low maintenance system without breaking the bank. Our steel line is the Montage system by Ameristar. Pound per pound, it is perhaps the strongest fence system available. The fusion welded panels while strong, also allow us to follow grades without having to "stair-step" the fence. The system is E-Coated, just like automobiles, so that every part of the fence is covered, unlike most fences that are just covered on the outside. Our Aluminum line of fence and railing is from Ultra. Available in an array of styles and colors, you can rest assured that your fence system will never rust and will fit your needs and tastes. The Powercoat finish is twice the thickness and hardness of a typical acrylic, baked enamel, or "wet paint" finish, making it more durable, fade-resistant, and scratch resistant than other coatings.
