Stone's Throw Pottery

Stone's Throw Pottery is a family-owned business founded by Sandra and Bill Jones. We are based in Reading, PA, and our passion for pottery has been a lifelong endeavor. We both love the feeling of creating something with our hands, and our partnership in the studio brings out the best in each other. We have achieved Masters level craftsmen in the PA Guild of Craftsmen and are juried members of the Reading-Berks Chapter. Our pottery is a reflection of our love for the craft, and we take great pride in every piece we create.

We are often asked why we named our pottery Stone's Throw. The answer is simple - we throw stoneware, and our studio is just a stone's throw from our house. It seemed like the perfect name for our business. We have a wide range of pieces available, from functional items like plates and vases to decorative pieces like sculptures and art pieces. If you see a piece in one color and are interested in getting it in another color, please contact us. We have many more pieces than we have on display or on the website.

We also offer custom orders, but please be aware that orders are on a first come first serve basis and often there is a long wait associated with orders. Our favorite thing is to see a customer's eyes light up when they see our pottery. It's a joy to share our creations with others and bring a smile to their faces.
