Floodplain & Drainage Services

At Hewitt Engineering Inc., we offer a comprehensive suite of floodplain management and drainage design consulting services. We have extensive experience in preparing FEMA Letter of Map Change (LOMC) submittals, including CLOMR/LOMR and LOMA documents for properties located in Kerr, Gillespie, Kendall, and Bandera Counties. Our team has recently completed several projects involving master drainage plans, storm sewer and drainage channel analyses and design, detention storage design, and floodplain delineation studies. We are committed to helping our clients effectively manage their floodplain and drainage systems to ensure safety and compliance.

Water & Wastewater Services

Hewitt Engineering Inc. has a long-standing history of planning, designing, and providing construction administration for water and wastewater projects. Our recent water system improvement projects include the design and implementation of water supply wells, water lines, booster pump stations, and ground and elevated storage tanks. In the wastewater sector, we have expertise in wastewater master planning, gravity sewer line and force main design, lift station analysis and design, and sanitary sewer line rehabilitation. Our team is well-versed in delivering sustainable and efficient water and wastewater systems to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Site & Land Development Services

Our company has successfully completed several private commercial and public site development projects in Kerrville and Fredericksburg. Our site and land development services encompass preliminary planning and Development Site Plan preparation, followed by the development of final construction documents. Recent Projects

Hewitt Engineering Inc. has recently designed three reclaimed wastewater ponds and pump stations for projects in the City of Kerrville. These ponds receive reclaimed wastewater from the City of Kerrville to be used for irrigation purposes. Our team has also prepared plans and specifications for over 8,200 linear feet of 6-inch reclaimed wastewater lines across the Schreiner University campus, as well as the construction of approximately 3,200 linear feet of 10-foot wide concrete trail along the Guadalupe River in Kerrville.

John M. Hewitt, P.E., C.F.M., serves as the President of Hewitt Engineering Inc. With over 37 years of experience in municipal water, stormwater management, wastewater engineering, and site development for public and private commercial projects, Mr. Hewitt is an invaluable asset to our team. His expertise includes water and wastewater system planning, the design of sanitary sewer lines and large diameter transmission water mains, water supply wells, domestic and high-pressure fire protection waterlines, and ground and elevated storage tanks. Mr. Hewitt's project experience also spans hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, flood insurance studies, master drainage plans, and bridge scour analyses.
