Our Mission
At Mindful Counseling, we understand that life can be overwhelming and challenging at times. That's why we're committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for individuals to work through their struggles and achieve their goals. As a licensed therapist, I, Shu-Lan Hung, have dedicated my career to helping people like you navigate life's challenges and find peace, balance, and harmony.
Services
We offer individual psychotherapy and counseling services for adolescents and adults, using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based treatment, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Our therapy approaches are tailored to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and more.
Payment and Insurance
We accept private pay and most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, UM-Premier, Anthem, Aetna, and United Healthcare. We also offer sliding scale fees for those who need it. Our payment options include 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute sessions, with rates starting at $80.
Office Hours and Scheduling
Our office is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We offer virtual and in-person sessions. To schedule an appointment, please email us at shulan@gmail.com or call us at (734) 882-2839.
Location and Parking
Our office is located at 2301 S. Huron Parkway, Suite 1A, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. We have free surface parking available, as well as handicap parking. For public transportation, we are accessible by bus route 24, which stops at Huron Parkway and Kindercare.
About Me
As a licensed master's social worker and clinical social worker, I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with children, adults, and families, addressing a range of issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship concerns and trauma. I am fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese.
What You Can Expect
In our sessions together, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and develop strategies to achieve them. I will use active listening skills and stress-reducing techniques to create a safe and supportive environment for you to express yourself freely. As your therapist, I will provide a non-judgmental and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
